ROXANA COJOCARU (Project Management and Development)

Roxana is an event management professional with experience in high-level, international events. She holds a BSc in Marketing, an MSc in Business Management, and has rich and diversified experience in sales, communication, fundraising and event organisation across corporate, international organisations and nonprofits.
Roxana’s role at Better World Initiatives focuses on event design and execution. She is at her best and with high spirits when the event goes live and the pressure is on.
She strongly believes in the power of science, humanity and collaboration, with a special interest in minding the gap between science and business, interest reinforced after her job experience at CERN, in the Development Office.
Roxana considers events a great tool for idea connection and information dissemination, that if done right, will lead to action and making the world a better place. That’s the reason behind spending more than 8.000 hours in the last 4 years working for 10 TEDx events in Romania and Switzerland (TEDxBucharest, TEDxCERN). Currently she contributing to the TEDxBucharest Content Management Team, hand-picking ideas worth sharing, working with and training speakers all around the world.
Based in Europe, Roxana speaks English, Romanian, French, as well some Spanish.
