Discussing uncommon sense in activism, sex, culture, cities, innovation, business and other areas of life was the theme for TEDxBucharest 2017. The event was great, congratulations to Roxana and the rest of the organizing team.
Connecting with the event participants and the speakers was fascinating. Amy Kaherl spoke of SOUP, a Detroit-based initiative bringing together communities, ideas and uncommon crowdfunding. Ioan Istrate spoke of XPRIZE and uncommon innovation. Bill Carney showed us how important it is to have uncommon sense in business. Marco Poletto of ecoLogicStudio shared details on the role of algae in “metabolically circular cities.”
Sex tech as well as the importance of discussing sex and sexuality were the focus of Bryony Cole‘s talk. The founder of The Human Library, Ronni Abergel, shared his uncommon approach to sharing stories to raise awareness and deepen understanding between people.
So many wonderful people and ideas on how to make the world a better place. We’re definitely thankful to be contributing to change.
